Lygu Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
Lygu is a personal money-review app provided by Lukas Salasevicius (“Lygu,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Lygu iPhone app, visit our website, or contact us for support.
The short version is simple: the financial records you enter in Lygu are stored on your device. Lygu does not require an account or connect to your bank. We do receive privacy-preserving usage analytics, and Apple handles purchases made through the App Store.
1. Information Lygu handles
Financial and reflection information stored on your device
You may enter or create:
- names of cash, bank, investment, debt, and other-asset items;
- balances, estimated values, investment contributions and withdrawals;
- snapshot dates, income, estimated or adjusted spending;
- spending notes and reflection responses; and
- app preferences, draft information, and reminder settings.
This information is stored in Lygu’s local app storage on your device. The current version of Lygu does not send this information to us, does not use an app-operated financial-data server, and does not provide bank connections, user accounts, or Lygu-operated cloud sync.
Your device’s operating-system backup may include app data depending on your Apple and device settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by Lygu.
Usage analytics
Lygu uses TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used and to improve reliability, usability, and features. Lygu sends events such as:
- app and onboarding activity;
- starting, completing, editing, deleting, saving, or abandoning a snapshot;
- settings and reminder actions;
- export format and completion;
- paywall views; and
- purchase and restore outcomes.
Event parameters are limited to categories, booleans, counts or count ranges, duration ranges, feature or source labels, product identifiers, and outcome labels. Lygu’s analytics code does not send raw balances, income, spending amounts, notes, reflection text, email addresses, or tracked-item names.
TelemetryDeck states that its app SDK processes an anonymized installation identifier, the action performed, an hour-rounded timestamp, device and app metadata such as operating-system version, app version, build number, distribution channel, and device type, plus parameters defined by Lygu. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and hosts analytics infrastructure in the European Union. You can read TelemetryDeck’s privacy information.
We use these analytics to understand aggregate product usage, troubleshoot broad product issues, and decide what to improve. We do not use them for advertising, cross-app tracking, credit decisions, or financial profiling.
Purchases
If you buy Lygu Pro, Apple processes the purchase through the App Store. Lygu uses Apple’s StoreKit service to obtain product availability, verify transactions, restore purchases, and determine whether Pro access is active. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Lygu may send TelemetryDeck the Lygu product identifier and a general purchase or restore outcome. Apple handles purchase records under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Lygu asks iOS for notification permission and schedules local notifications on your device. The current version does not use a separate push-notification provider. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings and reminder preferences in Lygu.
Exports
Lygu can create JSON or CSV exports containing financial and reflection information. Export files are created temporarily on your device and presented through the iOS sharing interface. Once you choose a destination—such as Files, email, cloud storage, or another app—that destination’s privacy practices apply. Review the destination carefully before sharing an export.
Support communications
If you contact us at info@easydigital.app, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. Please do not send financial records, exports, passwords, or other information that is not needed to answer your question.
Optional website advertising measurement
On the Lygu homepage, we use the OpenAI Measurement Pixel only after you choose “Allow measurement.” It helps us understand whether our ChatGPT ads lead to website visits and clicks on App Store links. A link click does not confirm an app installation or purchase.
When you allow it, OpenAI receives page-view and App Store link-click events, the website origin, event timestamps, available ad-click identifiers, and technical connection information such as your IP address and browser information. The Pixel may store the ad-click identifier in a first-party __oppref cookie. Your measurement choice is stored locally in your browser under lygu_ad_measurement_v1 until you change it or clear browser storage.
The website does not access financial records stored in the Lygu app. We do not provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, balances, or notes with these measurement events. We send events with OpenAI’s option to opt out of future user-level personalization.
You can decline without losing access to the website or app. Use “Advertising privacy settings” at the bottom of the homepage to change your choice. Declining stops future measurement events from this integration and removes the ad-click cookie; it does not erase events already received by OpenAI. Browser restrictions and declined consent can limit our reports.
OpenAI handles received information, retention and international processing under its applicable terms and Privacy Policy. Contact us at info@easydigital.app for questions about Lygu’s use of this measurement.
2. Why information is handled
We handle information as needed to:
- provide the app and features you request;
- maintain Lygu Pro entitlements and restore purchases;
- schedule reminders you enable;
- respond to support and privacy requests;
- understand aggregate app usage and improve Lygu;
- protect the app and our rights; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the basis will depend on the activity: performance of our agreement with you for requested app and support functions; our legitimate interests in improving and protecting Lygu for limited analytics; consent where we specifically ask for it; and compliance with legal obligations. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your financial records with advertisers, data brokers, or TelemetryDeck.
Information may be handled by:
- OpenAI, for optional website advertising measurement after your consent, as described above;
- TelemetryDeck, for the limited analytics described above;
- Apple, for App Store distribution, purchases, entitlements, device services, and any device backup you enable;
- email providers, when you contact us for support; and
- professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or address a legal claim.
We require service providers acting for us to handle information only for the relevant service and with appropriate protection.
4. Retention and deletion
Financial and reflection information remains on your device until you edit or delete it. Lygu’s Delete all data action removes snapshots, tracked items, monthly income, related local model data, and saved snapshot-draft state from the app. Deleting the app also removes its local app container from the device, subject to any device backups controlled through Apple.
Deleting local Lygu data does not delete:
- exports you previously shared or saved elsewhere;
- purchase records held by Apple;
- analytics signals already processed by TelemetryDeck; or
- support messages already sent by email.
Analytics information is retained according to our TelemetryDeck account settings and TelemetryDeck’s applicable practices. Because TelemetryDeck’s identifiers are designed not to identify you directly, we may be unable to associate an analytics record with your identity.
We keep support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain an appropriate support record, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.
5. Your choices and rights
You can:
- view, edit, export, or delete local financial records using Lygu’s controls;
- disable reminders in Lygu and manage notification permission in iOS Settings;
- manage subscriptions and purchase history through your Apple Account;
- avoid sending optional support information; and
- stop future app analytics by ceasing use of and deleting Lygu.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information we control, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. To make a request, email info@easydigital.app. We may need enough information to verify and respond to your request, but we will not ask for financial records that we do not hold.
If applicable, you may complain to your local data-protection authority. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may contact the authority in the country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
6. International handling
TelemetryDeck states that its analytics infrastructure is hosted in the European Union. Apple, email providers, and a destination you select for an export may process information in other countries under their own terms and safeguards.
7. Security
Lygu is designed to minimize remote handling of financial records by storing them locally. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for information we do handle. No device, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. Protect your device with an appropriate passcode and take care when creating, storing, or sharing exports.
8. Children
Lygu is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly ask children to create an account or submit personal information to us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Lygu’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide appropriate notice before the change takes effect where required.
